Privacy

Last updated September 29, 2026

Short version: no accounts, no ads, no cookies, no personal profiles. We count plays so we know which games to improve.

What we don't do

Porchplay doesn't ask for your email or real name, doesn't show ads, doesn't use cookies, and doesn't follow you around or build a profile of you.

What we count

To see which games people enjoy, the hub and each game send simple counts to a private counter: which game, phone or computer, how long the page stayed open, which tile was tapped, where the visit came from, and whether it is a first visit today or a return. Nothing there is tied to your name or account, and your address is not saved. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted.

What stays on your device

Your browser remembers a few things locally so the games work: your light or dark choice, the name you picked, your settings and your progress, and the day of your first visit (used only to count returning players). Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

What goes to a game server

In multiplayer games, the name you choose and what you do in the game (moves, chat, drawings) are sent to that game's server so other players can see them. Games keep this only while you play, except where a game says otherwise (for example, a drawing you choose to share in a gallery).

Hosting and fonts

The games are hosted by Render, which, like any web host, handles standard connection details such as your IP address. The text font is loaded from Google Fonts. Their own privacy policies apply to that.

Kids

We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Some games are for adults only and say so before you play.
